Ain't she funny? and more than just a little cute?

I've actually been working on pieces that I'll submit in a clump; or I may not. I'm thinking about making my own website because I'm increasingly displeased with DA. There are some mind-blowingly talented people here but so much of it is the same old 'fursona' and avatar japanophile crap that I don't really like be associated with it. That's not to say that anime and furry art aren't great, they are and some of it is inspiring but some of it is just annoying and stupid. So bleh, I go draw now.

At least during Pride NY passed a bill that helps protect domestic partnerships. Hopefully straight people will figure out that GLBT rights does have an impact, and it's a positive one.

So yeah, art. I deleted that horrible begging piece that I colored cause it was crap and I couldn't look at it. So it's back to my table. I need inspirations. Suggestions, and trades are open.

Trades Open

So I'm taking a painting class and I suck at painting (good reason to take a class eh?) but yeah there will be more arts soon. Not that I wanna get involved in this crap but I've been noticing way too many people who get being a fan of someone and being their bitch confused.

So many people seem to think that if you're a fan of someone then you're "licking their asshole" and when fans defend this artist (and I'm not sure they should, people can take care of themselves) they always talk about it in that sort of way. I can understand not liking someone's art, and not understanding why other people think its great but when you talk like that it seems a lot more like jealousy. And sadly it's usually people who are 12-16 who are frothing at the mouth over someone else's popularity.

Is this just a coincidence or is it just people at that age wanting to be iconoclasts just because? I feel bad for normal people in this age group because so many people make them all look like contrary fools who just wanna hate something, and I know that's not the case.

But seriously I'm tired of people acting like someone's popularity means that anyone who likes them is just a dish-licking jackal. People like an artist just the same when five people liked them as when 500 people like them. Or because they are a nice person. Or you can like someone's art no matter how big of a dick they are. I could name many people who's art I like but who's personalities I hate. But it doesn't matter, because this site is about art. The more I hang around here, the more I see why many people (many of whom are also popular artists) are dissatisfied and leave. More and more I'm glad no body really knows that I'm here. And before someone asks why I don't just leave if I'm so unhappy, is because it's easier than making and maintaining my own website.

Well, my life has been up and down. Not gonna get into it but I am still doing artwork. I'm willing to do trades and all that. I have a new, crappy, but RELIABLE scanner. So, arts to come. What you're seeing now is old, last summer but current works should follow.
